A rhythmic flowing massage to relax and revive tired stressed muscles and ease joint pain. Using gliding, kneading, cupping, rolling and compression strokes, alongside passive and assisted stretching techniques; helps to keep ligaments and tendons supple and increase range of motion. Blood circulation and lymph flow are increased helping the body's tissues to receive adequate nutrition and naturally flush out any build up of waste products. This style of massage can be beneficial pre and post exercise.
Treatments are customised to your preference. Firm or light pressure with more time allocated to areas you wish to focus.
Throughout the treatment you will be covered with sheeting, towels and blankets. Only the area that is being massaged will be exposed. Your head and limbs will be supported with pillows and bolsters. Your comfort throughout the treatment is our priority.

Deep tissue techniques help to break up scar tissue and deep rooted muscular tension. It is common to feel some soreness/tenderness in areas during the massage and sometimes for a couple of days after the massage. Most clients refer to it as a slight discomfort.
Deep Tissue Massage should not feel painful, nor should it feel like an exercise in endurance. Deep Tissue Massage is not a 'No Pain No Gain' technique.
Pressure is adjusted throughout the treatment in alignment with your bodies response, the area being worked on and your personal preference. You will be encouraged to provide feedback throughout your treatment to ensure that you gain optimal benefit from the massage.

A deeply relaxing treatment which can help to calm a busy mind and reduce stress and anxiety. TSF uses smooth heated basalt stones, held in the therapists hands, combined with various Holistic massage techniques. The heat provided by the stones helps the therapist to work at a deeper level, using less pressure and therefore causing less discomfort. The treatment alternates between stone and hands on massage to gently ease muscle and joint pain and tension and aid relaxation. Warm basalt stones may also be placed on key points of the body to calm the nervous system and bring a feeling of balance to your inner energy.
Typically from river beds, basalt stones are used for massage as they have a rich iron content that helps to retain the heat. Occasionally cold marble stones may also be used in areas where you experience inflammation and swelling. Massaging with cold stones can stimulate lymphatic drainage and act as a powerful decongestant for the body'.

The practice of reflexology in natural health care dates back over 5,000 years to ancient China, India and Egypt.
It is a deeply relaxing non-invasive therapy, which is based on the principle that the organs and structures of the body are mirrored on the soles of the feet.
The simple theory behind reflexology is that when the body is well, its vital life force (energy) flows freely through it's structures and systems.
When there is dis-ease in the body this causes a stagnation to the vital life force which may be felt as stiffness, weakness or pain.
The intention of a reflexology session is to re activate the natural flow of energy through the 7,000 + nerve endings that are situated on the soles of the feet. Various techniques such as kneading, pressing, friction, holding and pulsing can be used to apply pressure to specific areas of the feet and lower leg. This encourages the body to naturally rebalance inducing a sense of calm and overall feeling of wellbeing.
Reflexology does not diagnose or prescribe illness, it can be an effective treatment for helping to reduce general stress and tension, it can also help alleviate headaches, migraines, sinus problems, digestive issues and hormonal imbalances.
The treatment is carried out on a therapy couch with the back rest flat or elevated with an incline depending on your preference. You remain fully clothed, only shoes and socks need to be removed. Pillows are used to support your head and back and under your knees.
Please note reflexology treatments cannot be carried out on feet that have athletes foot, verruca's or other contagious skin condition.
New treatment coming soon.
